I am brand new First night.

Post by BigGeoff » Tue May 29, 2018 6:06 pm

I just plugged in my machine. Registered my software and mobile app. Looked for advice forum and found you guys.

I am told my events from the study were 18 in an hour but some were very long and drop my O2 levels very low. That explains my headaches and fatigue.

Hoping to lean on you all for advice and support.

What are you using a full face mask?

What is your pressure setting?

If you feel like you're nt getting enough air, disable the ramp.

Welcome to the forum.

Good luck tonight. Try wearing the mask with machine on for an hour or so without being under pressure to fall asleep....like watching TV or reading a book. Just so you can sort of get used to how it feels and not be all the time thinking ...I need to fall asleep.

What are you using a full face mask? Yes full face mask. I breathe through mouth.

What is your pressure setting? Pressure ramps up to 15-20 auto setting.

If you feel like you're nt getting enough air, disable the ramp.

Welcome & goodluck

Check your machine has an SD card in it if not get one the cheapest you can size is not an issue then download sleepyhead from here https://sleepyhead.jedimark.net/ and then you can see more data about your sleep than you can shake a stick at

I'm merely suggesting to this newbie (and by extension all others) that if the device does not perform well as delivered, that it can be adjusted. I think that more proactive approach to getting it to work would raise the compliance rate significantly.

I hope you come back and let us know how it went. My first night was horrible.

I got sick halfway through the night and was nauseated. I think I might have been nervous about using one.

It took about ten days to get use to it

My first night was good. No issues with mask. I have an app synced to the machine. I got 6.21 hours of use with only 2 events.

Air pressure auto adjusts to15-20 it ramps up over 5 mins.

I have the built in humidifier but still woke with really dry mouth.

Overall I was happy.

Glad it went so well. Other than the dry mouth, how do you feel?

BTW, I really notice that felt better I ever remembered on the second morning.
