resmed S8 autoset vantage question

Post by carlossm » Fri Feb 02, 2007 12:19 pm

How many days of data does the S8 keep? Do I have to erase the data from the S8 every certain number of days? Or does it always keep the last days of data? What about the ResScan Data Card, do I have to erase the data every certain number of days?

TIA

I think it keeps up to 180 days of daily stats (ie. daily average and 95% values)

However, it only keeps the last 5 days of the more detailed "nightly" data used to plot absolute values throughout a sleep session.

No need to erase anything unless you have 180 days on the card. If you are saving your data to separate files using the software ... it should not matter if you erase unless you need to prove compliance to DME/insurance.

President-pretender, J. Biden, said "the DNC has built the largest voter fraud organization in US history". Too bad they didn’t build the smartest voter fraud organization and got caught.

Hi Carlos & Roberto,

The Autoset Spirit (Vantage in the US) records 365 days data. The S8 Escape records 180 days data. This quote is from the Autoscan 5.7 help file.
S8 AutoSet, AutoSet Spirit, S8 Elite and S7 Elite

These units can record up to 365 days of usage and treatment data. Usage data includes mask on/off events displayed on a Time of Night scale. Treatment data includes pressure and leak as well as indices including AHI, AI and HI. A maximum of five nights of Night Profile data can also be stored, which includes pressure, leak and events data.
Carlos, like Roberto said you have to download the detailed data every 5 days (before noon when you do it) or you'll lose the detailed data for your night profiles.

Cheers

Peter

I believe the S8s only retain 7 days of detailed nightly data in the machine. IIRC The other nights data kept in the machine, is averages for a night up to the numbers Peter mentioned.

When saving S7 S8 & VPAP III data, it is best to save it at least every 5 days (7 on the outside but it is easy to forget on that last day & lose a nights detailed data.
