Best Masks For Claustrophobic CPAP Users- HELP!

Post by archer804a » Sun Apr 08, 2018 10:34 am

Hi I have just been diagnosed to have to use a CPAP and I am a heavy Claustro sufferer.

Currently I am trying to adapt to using the Dreamweaver under nose mask but am having issues with it not getting a (green) good seal indicator.

I have tried other nose sizes pieces of the Dreamweaver mask...the side covers and other adjustments spent hours with it over last 3 days....the only thing that seems to work is to tighten it which makes it uncomfortable on my face and kicks in my claustro as it seems to make it feel like its suffocating me as its too tight on my face.

I have tried the Resmed AirFit P10 Nose Pillows but they kick in my Claustro even worse as I think its the feeling of something pushing into my face as I don't get the same feeling with my eyeglasses on my face.

Does anyone else suffering from claustro severe or otherwise have suggestions as to other mask types to try or they have gotten to work with their claustrophobia?

Thanks in advance for your information and help!
Archer

Not necessary to have made this 2nd post - you asked for ideas in the other one... and I suggest others who have any go back to that so we can follow the story.

Essentially almost a duplicate post.
I suggest following just one in the interest of keeping comments in one place.
This one has more comments.

To the OP....it is easier for the forum members when newbies keep their discussions and questions in on thread even if the questions vary a bit. Makes it easier for us to see who already said what and we won't be going and typing something that someone else already said.

Now later in a couple of months...yeah, start a new thread if you wish but it's easier for us to help you if you keep things sort of consolidated.

I have the same dreamware as well, I do feel when the pressure gets high they feel like they are going to bulge off. Have you thought of trying the pillows, I think they are interchangeable with the dream wear as well.
