(1) Ask your insurance for a list of local in-network providers.
(2) Check the Medicare providers list for your zip code
(3) Try online providers, like Cpap.com, or Secondwindcpap.com.

Re: Looking for a new DME
My doctor's office was also good about recommending a DME. They do a thorough job for their patients. (Your sleep doctor's practice may not be so thorough.)
I also like this option. One day, I was in a discussion with my insurance company and mentioned that I was having problems with one of the in-network providers. The insurance lady immediately offered to call them and "set them straight". I was able to get it worked out on my own by calling the DME manager, but I will keep in mind that the insurance company can help with DME problems.chunkyfrog wrote: ↑Thu Mar 22, 2018 8:31 am(1) Ask your insurance for a list of local in-network providers.

Re: Looking for a new DME
I too am looking for a new DME as the local one I use consistently screws up my insurance billing. I've been considering an online DME.
What are people's recommendations for an online DME? I've been looking a cpap.com and americarecpap.com.

I've been using Versus Health Care for about two years, with no problems. They've been courteous and prompt.

Re: Looking for a new DME
Most of the online DMEs do not deal with insurance. They will provide you a form that you can submit for reimbursement, if your insurance company allows that.

Hopefully your search for a new DME is not because you believe they will provide better help.
If it is help you are looking for, this is the place.
