Got my new autosense 10

Post by acidragon » Wed Mar 14, 2018 4:46 pm

So I got my new autosense 10 two days ago. This is my
second machine I have ever used. My first one was the respronics one and I really like the auto flex settings. Breathing felt natural but with the autosense I find when inhaling in there's a lag from when the pressure comes back on. Is there a setting to adjust this? Also besides airplane mode is there another way to turn off wifi? Does anyone else have issue with this?

1. a new user and I'm wondering what you think the issue is because I find breathing totally normal. I sometimes put my hand up to my face to make sure its still working.

2. If it makes a difference its cellular not wi fi and there is a way but you have to crack open the case. But without cellular you can't track your numbers on myair.

3. someone who figured out how to open the case and unplug it.

What's wrong with using Airplane mode?

What AFlex setting did you use and what EPR setting are you using?

You cannot track with MyAir but on the ResMed Airsense 10 Autoset version with an SD card you can use the free Sleepyhead software on your computer and get much more helpful information on how well the CPAP is working for you.

People here sometimes post screenshots of Sleepyhead data to get additional advice on improving results.

Some lower end models do not have much useful data available.

That is what is listed in your profile.
What machine do you have? Sleepyhead works with many machines.

Several things... 1) there's no such thing as an 'autosense', there's an "AIRsense" and an "autoSET", with the autoSET being one of four different models of AIRsense.

2) It's NOT wifi, it's cellular, like a cell phone.

As to the other question, you can turn off EPR.

I did 6 years with a Respironics System 1 and I found the transition to the Autosense very easy. I like it so much better because I don't feel like it's forcing me to keep up a pace of breathing like the PRS1 did. It seems much more natural to me. The heater on the humidifier actually works! (The PRSI never felt warm and about 3 years in the humidifier heater died completely) and the auto on works without having to suck in a deep breath.

Unfortunately, some companies like to use confusing naming for their products. :(

The link to open the ResMed AirSense 10 machines to unplug the modem. /viewtopic/t104578/Semipermanently-disa ... dem+resmed
I might have missed this step but cover the end of the disconnected wire connection with electrical tape. Murphy's law reducer.
