three nights and counting ---

Post by cookie246 » Sat Jan 13, 2007 5:32 pm

I got my pap machine on Wednesday and felt great on Thursday compared to how I have been feeling in the past four & 1/2 years. This has been a long journey and am glad that I can see sleep at the end of this tunnel.

Now Thursday night was a rough night of sleep, not because of the pap machine, but because I have another sleep distubance to deal with. I act out my dreams when I sleep. Family said I was restless and trying to talk. That does not work well with the masks. So needless to say Friday daytime was horrible. I asked my hubby if he got the license plate of the truck that hit me in the night. I was in so much pain and felt so tired. My REM sleep had been disturbed big time again.

Last night was good and today I actually fel relief from my sleep problems. I am aware that every night may not be good -- I still have some other issues to deal with. The pap machine is one step of a few.

I am not having any trouble with the mask or the machine. The humidifier is working good for me. I have kept my mask on all the nights and have not had any trouble with the exhaust. I have not had any trouble with water running out in humifier.

I feel really good about my experience so far. I will see the doctor on monday about the other sleep problems.

Talk to you soon

Ahhh!!! The power of sleep!

Welcome! You sound like you're doing very well so far Cookie. Keep up the good work and remember to click on the lightbulb above for our collective wisdom! Lots of great info there.
You should also fill out your profile. This way when you have a question we can see what equipment you have and give better answers.
