i posted a few minutes ago, sorry i did not explain myself correctly, my original dme was with resmed. now i own that machine period, i have now purchased an remstar auto c-flex, out of pocket expense, now my last new mask was in ,8/06, i need a new mask, and want to go to another company. not resmed. do i need to start all over with new copies of presc, sleep, ins, and letter from my dr, that it is a medical necessity. this is what cpap for seniors told me, i have medicare and private ins,can some one give me some advice/, i would hate to go all thru this again ,just to get a mask, sure appreciate all the help from thos forum, sundance12

you only need a prescription for the mask if you have insurance. You don't need one if purchasing on your own. If you know your size and what you want, I would suggest cpap.com, their prices are the most competitive. If you find a better price they will match it. I've used them for years their service is great.
You should get a copy of your original PSG and prescription for cpap and keep it for safe keeping. That is all you will need going forward. There really isn't any OSA cure and it doesn't go away so your PSG and prescription remain valid.

thanks, yes, i will go thru cpap.com, hust got my apap from them, and i will use medicare and supplemental, but it is tims for deductible, so , dont know how i will make out, thank you,
