Use of a MAD device

Post by Pooh105 » Wed Jan 10, 2007 6:13 pm

On a totally different topic here, has anyone used a MAD device instead of cpap? The reason I am asking is that I am still having a terrible time getting used to a cpap. I would like any opiions on the mouthpieces from you all.

Thanks,

Pooh

Many folks have come to this forum after bad experiences with dental devices. A few have spoken of good experiences. I'm not sure how one knows if one is a good candidate for a dental device. I suppose those of us with TMJ issues are likely candidates, but the devices apparently don't work for everyone.

Bill

dental devices for apnea treatment

Post by snork1 » Wed Jan 10, 2007 11:43 pm

I am having an EXCELLENT experience with a dental device keeping my apnea under control.

But people don't like that discussed on THIS forum.

If you are curious, I suggest hopping over to the http://www.talkaboutsleep.com Dental Sleep Medicine forum for threads on the good AND the bad, so you can decide for yourself if you want to TRY this REVERSIBLE alternative, which indeed does not work for everyone.
