Upgrade from EncorePro 1.4i to 1.6 ... More $$$ ???

Post by Sleeper » Thu Dec 14, 2006 6:27 pm

I haven't been on the site for a while, but I purchased EncorePro from CPAP.com about a year ago and have used it along with MyEncore and my Remstar Auto with much success.

Anyway...

I know that the 1.4i and 1.5 versions don't read from the M series and it looks like I might be getting a new M series Auto...

I'm wondering:

-- Is there a free upgrade to version 1.6 for people who already purchased EncorePro so recently ??

-- Is the new version of EncorePro compatible with the old card reader?

-- Are the smartcards themselves interchangeable between machines and versions ?

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Maybe I am too thrifty but I just got an apap and got the classic APAP because I could use my encore pro 1.4 I bought and also use the humidifier I got with the Pro 2. I was paying for the APAP out of pocket and just didn't want to budget in the extra $.

You might want to look at snoredog's pictures today of the sizes for the m series and classic. (mommaw's thread)

You will have to purchase Encore Pro 1.6i or higher. It will work with your old DT3500. Such is the price for having to have the latest and greatest, unless you do as Jules said, and get the "Classic", which would be the smart thing to do.

The data is basically the same, as is the treatment, the only thing you would have to put up with is, less water leaks, and noise, and maybe a longer operating life. That one is still out, as the "M"ighty hasn't been in service long enough to have a track record. Jim

Use data to optimize your xPAP treatment!

This is exactly what I did. (interchangeable parts and compatibility)
Also, the M Series uses the same algorithm as the "classic", so there's no particular therapy advantage.
