DreamStation w/humidity connect to Concentrator

Post by twj » Wed Jan 24, 2018 10:08 am

I have just purchased a new DreamStation 2 with a humidifier and a heated CPAP hose. I am having trouble figuring out how to connect my Concentrator oxygen hose to the CPAP with the Heated Hose setup. You cannot place any kind of oxygen hose connector between the hose and the CPAP because the hose makes an electrical connection to the CPAP. I cannot find any other input port on the DreamStation to connect the oxygen hose. Does anyone have any ideas? I also purchased the SoClean 2 and an adapted that fits between the Heated Hose and the CPAP to allow the connection of the SoClean hose. I am wondering if I can connect my oxygen hose to that SoClean adapter at night for my oxygen, then change the hoses the next morning to run the SoClean machine. Does anyone know?? Please contact me at twj408@aol.com if you have any ideas.

USMCVet opted to purchase the SoClean adapter and he doesn't even use the SoClean.
It will allow the O2 line to bleed in at the humidifier/adapter junction without sacrificing power to the heated hose.

That's the most useful thing the socrap company has made!

Well you know what they say about a blind squirrel or blind hog and an acorn.
Though I have to admit that it looks like a better option than snaking the O2 line up to the mask and using the cheap adapter and having to tie it up and all that so it isn't flopping around and getting in the way.
Of course it wasn't designed for the O2 line but that doesn't mean it can't be used for that purpose.
