Dropped Airsense 10
All I dropped my Airsense, I was half asleep trying to pick it up and water came into the tube as I wad breathing. I finally got it up upright but no air came out, I messed with it and nothing. I disconnected everything, tons water came out of the tube. Few hours later I put back together and seemed to be working, pressure seemed lower then what it said it was but I could be wrong. Is the motor safe from water? Is it safe to use? Is it reliable now?

If it started up, it should be good. Any time you think you may have gotten water in the machine, immediately unplug it and let sit until it has had time to dry out. Water and electricity do not mix well together.

Re: Dropped Airsense 10
My Airsense fell on the floor a couple of times when I was at a relative's house. It tends to fall humidifier bin down which reduces the chances of getting water into the device. Yes, you should have waited until the next night to start it since starting it if there was water in the motor would have burned it out. But, you were lucky. If it seems to be working fine, you are safe. If it doesn't, get on the phone with your DME and tell them that there is something wrong with your machine. I would avoid telling them that there was a fall. My dumb bro did that with his first bipap and ended up having to pay $700 to replace the board - if he would have kept his mouth shut, the board would have been replaced and not at his cost. Just say 'it's not working' and describe how it is not working without mentioning the fall.

I'm thinking it's ok. Check the pressure settings. Do you have the clinical manual to put the pressure settings back, if they changed? I can send you one if you pm you email address. Also make sure the machine is lower that your head on the bed. Also, do you have a heated hose?
