Airsense and MyAir

Post by Turner » Tue Dec 12, 2017 8:55 am

I have had the Airsense 10 for a little over 2 years now. I have an account on Myair.resmed.com and check it every so often..... About a week ago it stopped reporting data... I check the machine and the signal bars have the ban/no symbol over them. Its not in airplane mode. The machine is sitting in the same place it has for the last 2 years so I am not sure why it would not be getting a signal now. I unplugged it and plugged it back in but that didn't help. Anything else i can try?

It is possible your machine can no longer transmit data via the cellar connection. My first machine would not transmit at all and had to be replaced. Since your machine is over two years old, it is no longer under warranty. I recommend you get Sleepyhead software and use that to monitor your treatment. I haven't really used My Air since I started using Sleepyhead.

Growing old is mandatory, but growing up is optional.

MyAir recently made changes to it's website. It now reports 29 days instead of 14. Also the leak rate data has changed.
Possibly your machine needs a firmware upgrade to work with the upgraded site.
Using weight loss, general exercise, and tongue/throat exercises I managed to get my AHI down to approx 5.
Not using a machine currently.

I don't think a change on their side would be reflected in a change in signal on my side.

I have used Sleepyhead a few times since I got the machine. But its overkill for me when I usually just want to check for leaks. I have had the thing for 2 years as of 11/25. Just outside warranty of course.

If your location is rural, it is possible the cell tower providing the signal is down. Check your location at cellreception dot com to see how many towers might be in range. I'd also take your machine into town to see if it picks up a signal there.

If you are just wanting the basic data it's available on the machine's LCD display?
Did you know that?

If you can't see it now all you have to do is go into the clinical setup menu and change Essentials from usage to "plus".
You get hours of use, AHI and a smiley face if leaks aren't more than 30% of the night in large leak. If you go a little deeper I think you can even get the 95% number from the screen.
