Hello all. Thought to give an update. The Elite is going well. Woke up today with a sore thoat though that is still with me so I'll try to add more humidity tonight. My AHIs are between 9 and 13 which the doc says is normal.

Hi Michael,

I'm glad you're started on a good future of feeling better. 9-13 AHI is a little high, and you want to work at getting between 1-5 AHI. How much leak do you have? How many hours of sleep during the night? It will take a while to become adjusted to the mask and the noise of the machine. Do you feel much better over the following day?

Paul

Michael -

AHI of 9 to 13 is not bad but you should be able to do better and try for around 5 or under.

If your throat is drying out ... you may be losing air out of your mouth (needs to be addressed). Taping with a beard may not be all that easy but I think there are some who do it. You may also want to practice controlling the flow of air as you breathe. Try breathing strictly thru your nose while keeping your mouth open during your waking hours ... this may help you to learn to control mouth leaks while you sleep (or some will say not but it worked for me). Otherwise you will need to figure out how to seal your trap shut or find a full face mask.

Good luck and keep up the progress.

President-pretender, J. Biden, said "the DNC has built the largest voter fraud organization in US history". Too bad they didn’t build the smartest voter fraud organization and got caught.

If you're considering taping, I think your beard is going to present a real problem. You might want to consider poligrip strips on your lips as a less painful alternative.
