All the sudden a few weeks ago, I started having nightmares. This was so strange because the only time I would have them is if I didn't use the machine (sleeping at a friends or something).
Almost every single night now I am having nightmares where I am dying. They jerk me out of sleep. The one last night was a dream that I couldn't talk because I was running out of air. It woke me right up in the dead of night.
I checked my sleepyhead stats and it shows my AHI is pretty much low as always. I'm having a couple Hypopnea events a night, but that's always been the case.
The only other event I notice is A LOT of "Timed breaths". We're talking 400+.
Just wondering if anyone has any input on this.
My AHI doesn't seem to be rising, but I am waking up every morning now feeling like I haven't slept at all. It's starting to scare me.
if anyone has any input, I would GREATLY appreciate it. I feel like I'm dying.
Also to note:
I was put on the machine initially when I suddenly gained a lot of weight and was tired all the time. I have lost all the weight (and then some) in the last few years. Would losing so much weight mean the machine needs adjusted?

Sounds like a recording pulse oximeter might be of value to you.

Any specific model? What am I looking for?

Are you waking during the night because of the nightmares? If so next time it happens reach over and turn the machine off and right back on again so that you have a clearly identifiable marker (break in therapy line) so you can see what (if anything) might have happened right before you woke up.

I was just thinking that if you knew your O2 levels were OK, you might be able to relax a bit more over these weird feelings. See if your doc will run an overnight SpO2 check on you,....even better for three nights.moonlightmile84 wrote:Mark55 wrote:Sounds like a recording pulse oximeter might be of value to you.

If you want to buy one, you can check Amazon for inexpensive models that a lot of members here use. These for example,....
