How much sleep do you get?
I know this varies from person to person but using a CPAP machine how much sleep (on average) do you get in at night? I get about 6 during the week and 7 1/2 on weekends.
I tend to wake up after 7 - 8 hours if I don't have an alarm set. My biggest problem is during the week I rarely can get that much due to teenagers in the house and very early high school schedule.
Recently on weekends I seem to sleep 5 hours, then am concious that I woke up (although no longer make that trip to the bathroom) and I go out for another hours.

Weekdays I get 5 to 6 hours a night.
The only time I can seem to stay asleep past 6 hours is if I go out and have a few(hic).
Otherwise I find it hard to sleep more than 6 hours a night.
Pre-cpap I used to be able to sleep all day!

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, body totally worn out and screaming,WOO HOO what a ride!
My dog is 12 years old and probably not long for this world. I stay up late to get her outside one more time and then I get up with her in the morning about 5:30 or 6. So I maybe get 6 to 6 and half a night. Weekends included.

I am enjoying 8 to 9 hours of CPAP sleep a night with the exception of 1 or 2 bathroom trips!

I average six hours or so, with the occasional four hour night, like this one. I tried my old ComfortFull 2 again and spent most of the night trying to stop the leaks. Finally gave up about 0245. No point in my wife having to suffer through all of that, so decided the humane thing would be to get up and let her get some sleep.
Even so, with the likely exception of today, I'm not nearly as sleepy during the day as I was pre-CPAP.

6 hours when I have to work, 7-8 when I don't. Just had a night when I slept 9.5 hours with out waking even once for anything!

That also was my experience.lvwildcat wrote:I average 6-6.5 hours a night. I'm with Tooly on this one;preCPAP I could and would sleep 16 hours/day(when off from work) and was still exhausted all of the time
I get 6 hours sleep during week, and more on weekends.
Although I wake up refreshed, there are times I feel like taking a nap, but will only do that on the weekends, if schedule permits.
I also have a bad habit of staying up all night once in awhile. Could be the ADD, don't know - just don't want to 'give up the night', especially when I'm busy, and 'on a roll', so to speak. Sometimes the next day goes well until around 2-3 p.m., then if not keeping busy, may take a nap for 3-4 hours. I usually say I'm not going to do that again (stay up), but still do! I seem to get more accomplished 'during the night'...no interruptions, etc. Yes, it does play havoc with my recording on smart card - need to 'block out' those nights in order to get better results on paper.
