User Experience with Hose Cover

Would appreciate your thoughts with using a hose cover if your machine uses heated tubing to the mask. Does the cover make a noticeable difference with your CPAP therapy? Thanks in advance.

Only in the fact that keeping my cat from perforating the tube means my pressures stay consistent and keeps the therapy device silent, thus enhancing my sleeping environment...

It can help prevent rainout if you use an unheated hose with humidification, but yours is heated, so you won't notice a difference there. Some users say it cuts down on noise. I have a heated hose with humidification and tried a hose cover a couple of nights. Couldn't tell any difference at all.

I have a two-foot regular hose extension between my heated hose and mask, plus I can't stand the noise the hose makes rubbing against the back of the nightstand. So I have always used a cover and don't know if it makes any difference or not. But the old heated hose I had up until a couple of months ago--which they don't make anymore--had a thin attached cover. I'm thinking they must of thought it helped some or wouldn't have bothered to put it on there.

It'll reduce the electricity needed to keep the tube warm.

For me, since I have a heated hose anyways. The primary use is to reduce the sound of the hose rubbing on the backboard of the bed.

I agree. My wife and I both have hose covers and they reduce the noise the hose makes where it rubs on the headboard.
