Wishful thinking...high-tech battery?
Okay, I'm sure this little gizmo can't power a cpap, but I thought I'd ask all the smarty-pants tech folks out there just in case. With new technology developments appearing daily, and all these crowd-funded projects, I'm hoping that a small, reliable, easy-to-use, moderately priced cpap backup system is on the way. Here's the gizmo: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/powe ... -powerbank#/

Hoping for a small nuke reactor to use until my Zero Point Module is prefected.

Mostly crowd finding is a scam.

Crowdfunding generally means the device does not yet exist--in some cases never will.

There's nothing new here with the batteries; it looks like they are being very clever with the features which is fine if you want those features. The power is about 70 watt-hours, or 6 amp-hours at 12 volts, so it would last maybe one night, but less if the inverter is used. It looks spiffy, but its not a "bang for the buck" winner for cpaps.onthefreeway wrote:Okay, I'm sure this little gizmo can't power a cpap, but I thought I'd ask all the smarty-pants tech folks out there just in case. Re: Wishful thinking...high-tech battery?
Actually there are a number of similar devices that are larger, I'm surprised they only provide 70 Watt-hours, when the airline limit for lithium is 100 Watt-hours. Maybe part of the business plan is to sell a lot of removable batteries.xxyzx wrote:we have those now
this is just a bigger one
