Hybrid Replacement Schedule

Post by sinkem » Thu Nov 30, 2006 11:28 am

Hybrid users, how often are you replacing your cushion and pillows?
The schedule says one cushion per month and 2 pillows per month.
I find I can go longer but I don't know how far to push it.

I still use a five-month-old medium/medium set. I have a newer set also. However, the newer set looks almost like the older set. The old set has just a slight tingle of yellow showing.

I've found that a vinegar/water wash, about every 5 days helps a lot.

If you are following the schedule you stated, save up a few new ones and sell them.

My Insurance gives new cushion and pillows every 3 months. New mask every 6.

As for as the Hybrid is concerned, new headgear, mouth-piece cushion and new pillows every six months, would make more sense. The "hard" part of the mask should only need replacement if it breaks.

Are there replacement parts? I bought a second hybrid (complete, headgear and all sizes) for backup about 2 months ago. The mouth piece isn't cut to correctly fit into the frame on the right side, the curve isn't right and it DOESN'T fit. Now what?

Call teleflex at -866-246-6990 option 4. They should be able to help. If not, call Innomed at 1-888-280-6578. I found them both to be very helpful, they really want you to be happy with this mask.
