Hi guys,
I'm in my third week of APAP and still going strong, enjoying the extra energy. Yes, I'm one of the lucky newbies who took to xPAP right away, but thanks also to this forum both generally and specific help from some of the awesome people here.
I keep a blog on a different site, Yahoo! 360 (I work at Y! and was the program manager in charge of this product), and I posted my Apnea story there, primarily for my friends and family, so it's targeted to readers who don't know anything about OSA. You might find it interesting:

After I posted it I heard from a fellow blogger who thinks he has apnea, and I strongly encouraged him to get a sleep test, which he's scheduled. So hopefully I can start to put a little back into the OSA world - I've gotten so much out of you guys already.
best,
- keverino
My Newbie's Story Cross-Posted
Hi Keverino!
Glad to hear that it is working for you... yippee, this mean I get to kick off my shoes yet again, and do the happy-dance!
Nice to see that you are also sharing this information with others, it will help to raise awareness and could help save someone's life!
Tricia: who believes you can never do the happy-dance too often! Ain't life grand!

Hey Keverino,
I used to be very embarrassed by my snoring, but since becoming a hosehead, I have told numerous people about sleep apnea and how dangerous it is if left untreated.
I'm so glad you shared your story on the blog where many people may be able to see their own symptoms and seek medical help.
God bless you for sharing your story and hopefully the worst is now behind you.
Linda

Ditto to what Tricia and Linda said! The more info out there -- especially personal stories -- the more chance that others will come across something that makes the lightbulb come on and saves a life.Beckah54 wrote:I'm so glad you shared your story on the blog where many people may be able to see their own symptoms and seek medical help.
