ddm,
Welcome to the forum!

Here is a link that will give you some of both sides (although you will find that not many people like it). I have not tried it myself. On this page you will find links to more threads and info on the Cpap-pro.

Hope it helps and I hope that you can find a setup that works great for you. It is a process of elimination for many of us.

Best wishes,

Born Tired; Thanks for the quick response. I will check the URL out. That "process of elimination" you mentioned is exactly the approach I intend to take.

Thanks again ... Denny

good lord this thing keeps coming back like a bad penny

I USED the cpap pro. I bought one. I didn't know any better. It's way overpriced and it sounds like a jet plane. I have to admit that it got me back to using my cpap, but that was before I found this message board and before I knew ANYTHING about all the different masks.

For what you'll spend on that thing you can get 2 GOOD masks to try. The mask is the hardest part of this whole scene. And what works for one may not work for another. So while I WILL say, use what works, I'd still advise not wasting the time or money on that one.

I can't get the SEARCH to work regardless of what I put in the search word. Even if I just put CPAP nothing comes back. Must be doing something wrong.

I have no idea what you're doing wrong. Working fine for me (well, as "fine" as this search tool ever works). Click search, enter what you want to find in the first text box, hit the enter key. That's all you *have* to do. Now, if you want to narrow your results a little, there are more steps you can take. But those are the basics.
Machine: M-Series Auto
Mask: Headrest
No humidifier
On the hose since 2005.

Hi I just bought a cpap pro. I don't like it whenever I relax my jaw the mask wants to drop out of place. So i ordered another model of mask off of cpap.com hoping I have better luck with it.

There are two lines in the search screen for entering whatever term you're searching for. The first is for keywords and the second is for authors. It sounds like you may be entering a keyword (like CPAP) on the authors line.

This is probably due to a poor fit on the mouthpiece. When the mouthpiece is properly made it will actually SNAP onto your upper teeth. When you make it you really have to bite down hard on it and then trim off the areas where it oozes out of the hard part.

If you don't get the mouthpiece fitted correctly that "mask" will never work.

I've been using the CPAP Pro for about 3 years. I've been on CPAP for about 9 years and have tried about 5 different style masks. Yardbird is correct. If you don't boil & bite the mouthpiece correctly it will never work.
It eliminated my mouthbreathing problem and I don't have strap marks across my face anymore. I'll never go back to a regular mask again if I can help it.

Just my opinion, but as a lot people here say, if it works for you great.

I agree with a lot of comments here. I have been using a REMstar Auto C-Flex CPAP for well over a year.

It's fantastic. My wife is happy as it is whisper quiet and the C-Flex features allows the user to easily exhale and not having to "push" out. During my titration, I had a CPAP Pro, but did not have the C-Flex. It was fine, quiet etc., but you really feel the need to push your exhalation against the continuous incoming air flow.

Whatever machine you settle on, see if you can get a C-Flex.

In Alberta Canada, Doctors generally will write a generic description and allow you and the CPAP provider to choose a Make and Model that works for you as long as the unit meets the prescription he/she writes.
