Rubbing Tabasco on one's upper lip before bedtime is an effective temporary cure for sleep apnea.

Tabasco?

I fail to see how that would help.

However, I think I would just prefer to have apnea.

the only thing I can think of is that if you don't sleep because your face is on fire, you won't have apnea.

Meister-
Based on your past posts regarding being cured of OSA...I'm surprised to see you still posting here?

OR - is it the huge amount of warm MILK than one must drink in order to counterattack the TObasco sauce fire? Then sleep w/b interrupted w/potty breaks! I don't think you'll get too far w/this one, unless you're made of iron.

I cannot even have 'hot sauce' passed BY me without my eyes watering! I'd have SEVERE RAINOUT FER-SURE!!

Hey, WAIT A MINUTE HERE! How can you use the words: Temporary and Cure for the same description? It's then NOT a CURE, especially for Apnea.

One is never cured without surgery

I manage my apnea with a Dental Device, plus the Pillar. I am not trying
to say my way is the best. I am just trying to let folks know that there
is more than one way to manage their illness; other than the
standard "Lose weight" you get from most highly educated medical
professionals.

There is more than one way to manage apnea, yes, but tobasco sauce is NOT it, even temporarily.

Think for a second, meister. Just how do you propose that rubbing hot sauce on one's lip will physically keep the airway from collapsing? It can't. There are certain laws of physics that just can't be ignored.

I think meister's tongue is firmly in his cheek now to keep it away from the tabasco.

Did you know this was not remotely funny or humerous?

It was not.
What is someone tried it?

Bet they would not think it was funny either.

meister: Humor is always welcomed in this world of problems.

Your 'humor' would be MUCH BETTER RECEIVED if you first identified it as such!
Think of how much valuable time was used by others unnecessarily...now, sit and look ashamed or sorry.

Try again, but label it as "humor next time".

Meister,

I have a friend who thought she was managing her OSA with a dental device. Then she borrowed my pulse oximeter for an overnight run. The SaO2 data caused her to reconsider. 72 significant desaturations in one night.
