Happy that I reconsidered

Post by NyNurse33 » Tue Oct 31, 2006 10:37 am

Yes, this post is about something that has to do with only me: I am so happy that I was unable to sell my swift, it has been a life saver for me. As you have all heard me "whine" about before, my rain out problem was a pain. I have not had the ability to purchase the aussie yet, so instead I have been using the swift instead of the CL2. I think the design of the CL2 allows for more condensation to build up in the nasal pillow piece. I have also been keeping the whole hose under the covers with me and next to a heated rice pack. I clip the tubing (where the swift tube meets the hose) to the front of my PJ's to relieve the tension. It has done wonders for me, no more wet nose!! The only down side is that it is more uncomfortable for me to turn on my side with the swift vs the CL2, but I'll manage. Just for the winter or until I get the heated hose. Thanks for all of your support!

Melissa, I'm so glad you found something that worked for you! Doesn't feel great to have it all figured out? I used the CL2 with the aussie hose last night and not a drop of moisture.

putting your machine on the floor or well below your bed height should also help, pretty hard for that water to run up hill, if rainout does form it should run back into the tank. Machine will also be quieter.

Great idea, snoredog. I have it pretty low about 6 inches off the floor and it still happened, but I haven't tried it on the floor itself.

The reason you have less rainout with it on the floor, the dust bunnies drink the water. Jim
