ADMINS READ THIS REGARDING BROKEN POSTS

Post by LikwidFlux » Tue Oct 10, 2006 7:43 pm

Within the functions_post.php page there is a function that looks for specified words within the body of a new subject and pulls out certain keywords like t.itration, C.PAP, etc. It then automatically links those items in the bottom of the message (See just about, ANY of the previous posts that worked). Somehow, that function is not working. It could be any reason, the CPAPPedia (is that what they call it) could have a corrupt entry, or there may just be a small issue.

I know most of this doesn't make sense, and to be honest, the possible causes are conjecture, however, the cause of the problem is not. (I did a test, see my recent post on "Sleep Study on Friday" I added 1 character in the special words so the keyword lookup would fail.

Am I rambling? Does anyone care?

Makes good sense to me.

I never believed anyone was spiking the posts. The index mechanism is likely to be the culprit.

Perhaps the table of keywords has beome corrupted ?

I wouldn't suspect the table is corrupt. Typically with a corrupt table you don't get any (or any good) results when you are querying it. From the looks of the debug error it is finding the results, but the issue falls outside of that.

If 1 record was corrupt that could cause the issue, but so could 100 other things.

The cpapopedia is no longer on the screen, it's been replaced by "newbies click here"

But how about clicking on the "disable Auto Links in this post" option, like this:
