Post by sloizeaux » Tue Sep 26, 2006 7:00 pm

If the one used during your sleep study worked pretty well ... I would start out with that one or at least one of very similar design. You will have a lifetime to try out others and find the perfect interface if there is such a thing.

Hello sloizeaux,

I was going to say hello in your intro post and tell you to start looking for mask.

Take the time to figure out the DMEs, your insurance. What machine are you getting?

As for masks, I am the last one to give advice. I spent something like 4 DME visits to get a mask that is comfortable and does not leak.

The comfort Curve. I do not have my APAP yet so I can not tell you much about the mask.

Try on differnt ones, bring a pillow and lay on the floor in what ever position you sleep in, practice rolling over readjusting the mask, at the pressure setting of your CPAP

I started a topic about chosing an interfaces.

Use the search botton and look at the different opinions on the different masks.

I can do this, I will do this.

My disclaimer: I'm not a doctor, nor have I ever worked in the health care field Just my personal opinions.
