Rental period

Post by Piper_J » Tue Sep 26, 2006 3:30 pm

Hello All,
Is the rental period the insurance company requires on CPAP machines for evaluation of the actual machine? Can I trade-up on a better machine?
My machine is a RemStar Plus w c-flex and provides no data. I would like to have a machine that provides data so I could actually evaluate my therapy. I also wish I would have found this forum a week earlier so I would have been better informed.

Piper_J, I called my DME provider a few days after I got an older model Remstar that didn't record the detailed data. They gave me a brand new Remstar Pro 2 with C-Flex. No hassle at all. I'm assuming that it depends on who you're dealing with. It couldn't hurt to just give your DME a call and ask the question.
