billmyinsurance.com

I have to put a good word in for billmyinsurance.com. I have been on a CPAP for over 12 months now and I still am tired a lot. So having a great doctor like I have and her willingness to listen to what I would like gave me a script for RemStar Auto. Well, when I got my autopap from the DME it was the Resmed AutoSpirit. Not a bad machine I just noticed when I started on that my blood pressure went back up and when I was on the CPAP with c-flex it was going down. SO I tried another DME when my school changed insurance and at least they were honest with me said that machine was too much for them. So I decided to give billmyinsurance.com a try and I have to say they were able to get me exactly what I wanted. The Remstar M Series Autopap with humidifier and C-Flex. I am very greatful for this and wanted to pass on the word about them.

Rockside I am glad you are getting the machine you need and it worked out for you.

I have never heard that one machine would be better over another for Blood pressure reasons.

Hopefully some one can explain to me why different xPAPs would effect blood pressure like that.

I think it is because I still am not getting a good enough sleep with the current machine I am on as the other one I had and therefore it is doing it. I could be totally wrong but at least I am getting wha the doctor and I talked about and not the DME decision.

Bill My Insurance

Post by Offerocker » Fri Sep 22, 2006 9:45 am

I'm in the middle of a transaction with Bill My Insurance...to purchase the Activa mask; last purchase via insurance was over 6 mos ago.

What surprises me is their requirement for my sleep study!

The local dme guy didn't require one; he just called for authorization; I didn't go through them because they were going to bill insurance for over $400 !!! I cannot do that.

Sooo I'll have to dig through my pile of paperwork to find what is necessary in order to complete this transaction. Seems that personal ethics still has a price to pay - time!
I agree the person was extremely helpful and nice.

The rate things are going, it seems, I'll have to find a friendly dolphin and swim on his/her back in order to join the 'cruise', ha ha. Maybe he'll have some friends from the 'flock', and we can all play "ride 'em hoseheads" !!!

Anytime you bill insurance for CPAP supplies you have to have a sleep study on file. Your local DME company probably would have gotten a sopy from your DR without you having to do any of the leg work. As far as I know, there is no way around having a copy of your study on file.

Thanks for that. It's here somewhere really 'handy', on yellow paper, so that narrows it down somewhat. I'm pulling chains here.!! Just wasn't prepared in advance, but will be next time.

Thanks again!

I just had my dr. fax it in since they have it on file. She had no problem doing it.

I now have to readdress the already exhausted posts about whether or not a prescription is necessary for masks.

It seems that there is, however 'indirectly' it is hidden.
