So as some of u know, and others don't care I've been having huge problems with my health. I'm not explaining it again as I should be asleep right now. I found out (pretty much by sheer dumb luck) that I probably am gluten-intolerant. I cut gluten out of my diet and within 3 days I felt a huge difference. My doc is doing the bloodwork but I'm on this diet 4 life. I feel better than I've felt in YEARS (I've been gluten free for 5 days). I'm leaving tmw for a horse massage training program, so I'll catch up on reading when I'm back (1 week) but eeeeeeepppp! I feel great!
My point is: according to some celiac website I stumbled upon (I lost the link stupid sidekick) but a bunch of ppl have some level of gluten intolerance as well as a sleep disorder (especialy osa). The point is, it's either a diet (for a few days just to try) or a blood test, what's the harm in checking? You all have been my lifeline over the past 7 weeks now. I read nearly every post. It takes me about 30min + to post a reply so I usually don't, but rest assured, u've gotten me thru some pretty tough times. Thank you all.
update! eeep yay!

My husband has Celiac also (but I am the one with the Apnea . I don't know how far you have gotten on the food variety yet, but I have a recepie for muffins and chocolate chip cookies that he says are actually good. (A lot of the bread substitutes are not so tasty). One I got out of a cookbook and altered a little and the other I have forgotten where I found. If you want either pm me when you get back from the horse program.
my 25 year old daughter recently figured out she has Celiac and cutting out ALL gluten makes a huge difference in her life.
A friend of mine didn't discover he had celiac until it drove him into stomach cancer. Cutting out gluten doesn't elminate apnea for him, but gluten allergy was literally killing him.
Celiac, like apnea, seems to be a WAY underdiagosed problem and telling the average Doc the exact symptoms will usually NOT get a Celiac diagnosis.
Like apnea, it seems the patient must figure it out, and then the Doc gets highly paid for confirming what the patient already knows....
