Smartcard problem

Post by Guest » Thu Aug 31, 2006 7:50 am

Hello,
I have read about every related post I could search for, but have not been able to solve my problem. I have Encore Pro 1.5i, a DT-3500 reader, and a Remstar Auto w/o Cflex as well as a Remstar M Auto.

The problem is that even though I installed Encore Pro, then Driver installer from two-factors site for Encore, I get message of "Error Communicating with Smartcard" in Encore Pro. The device shows installed in Windows XP device manager, the light turns green on reader when I insert card and then red shortly after I get Message. Since Encore is seeing my reader but cannot communicate with smartcard, I thought it may be my card.

I tried my card from new M auto(I know I need EP 1.6) just to see if it would try to communicate, but got same error.

Does anybody have a suggestion?

Thanks,
Scott

I don't know if this applies to the error message you are getting, but if you are using a USB hub you might try plugging the reader directly into your computer instead of into the hub.

Please check your PM's...just sent you one.
