I've gone through two of them and finally gave up. The first was DOA (Defective on Arrival), the second died after a week's use. Even while it was 'working', the results were poor. Both the manufacturer and distributor told me I was the only customer that had hardware failure. I wonder...
I read they are having software problems and one company offered to drop the price from $500 to $425. I declined. Glad I did.
Any chance of getting your money back?

Installing Software is like pushing a rope uphill.
I have Encore Pro 1.8.65 but could not find it listed
under software.
I LOVE the SV.

Fortunately the distributor I bought the original unit from gave me a full refund. Yes, the software is pretty bad, but my main complaints were with the hardware. Actually, from what I've read, using reflective technology is iffy at best. In a 3 hour sleep study (actually was supposed to be an eight hour test, but the 7500 died after 3 hours), I logged well over a hundred 'weak signal' errors.dllfo wrote: Any chance of getting your money back?
OUCH!! Glad I didn't buy it. I have enough problems with refunds at the moment. Office max defaulted on an extended warranty, so I had to file complaints with the state of California. It just goes to show us, you never know who you are dealing with.
Glad one of us got treated right.....
Keep us informed if you find another unit thats any good. As I said, I will go to my pulmonary dr. to see about a home test. He is a pretty smart guy.
Again...good luck with it

I picked up a Respironics 920M on Ebay for US$227.00. I'm happy to say it works fantastic. I couldn't believe the difference. I spent over 100 hours, 5 expensive batteries and 20 'fixators' messing with the PulseOx 7500 trying to get decent results...never did. The 920M worked right out of the box (well, actually it came wrapped in newspaper . Of course, I guess you sort of take your chances buying used equipment this way, but if you use PayPal and their 'guaranteed satisfaction' policy, you are probably OK. Besides that, sellers on Ebay treasure their vendor ratings. If you buy a lemon and they won't take it back, you still have a very big stick.
FYI, I put a little report on my initial findings with the 7500 on Google Video. Just as soon as they finish processing it, I'll post the link here.
I'm on my 3rd unit and had a problem with this unit also. The software is passable and useful after you spend some time with it, but it does have some quirks.
The hardware is faulty and it was brought to market too soon. They have manufacturing process problems. If it weren't so useful I would have returned it by now, and still may. I think in a few months they will have straightened out many of the problems.

As promised, here is the link to the report I generated on the initial failure mode of the PulseOx 7500:
