Locked topic....any ideas?

Post by Bookbear » Fri Aug 04, 2006 9:51 pm

Anyone have a clue as to why my topic about anyone being interested in selling their hybrid mask was locked?

my guess is they didn't want a dozen posts of people bailing on their Hybrid. Look on the bright side, your post is locked but the message is still there

So, bookbear, have you had a multitude of sellers yet?

I'd be willing to unload my Hybrid to Bookbear. I tried PM-ing Bookbear from this thread, but it doesn't appear the message has been sent.

Bookbear: If you're interested (I can offer you a real good deal , try PM-ing me. If that doesn't work, we'll have to resort to more extreme measures.

BB-

I'd be cautious of matching a Hybrid with an S8 AutoSet Vantage. I tried for an afternoon, and the bias rate of the Hybrid always gave me mask leak warnings even though I couldn't detect any leaks other than through the exhaust ports. I waas worried that the high bias rate might exceed the S8 algorithm's capacities and might degrade the algorithm.

So, I very recently sold my Hybrid to a user here.

I know that many have had FANTASTIC results with the Hybrid, but I'm curious as to how many S8 AutoSet users have had good results. Until you find that out, I'd proceed with caution, BB.

Just a thought.

Try PMing the site administrator. Could have been a mistake - a slip of the finger, etc. If not, I am sure they will explain their action to you.

inacpapfog, nope! At least, not yet, anyway......

Thanks goofy and ghmerrill. I was a little concerned about the flow rate matching on the S8 Vantage. If anyone else out there in Cpapland is successfully using the hybrid and a ResMed S8 Vantage (or or perhaps another ResMed model where you have to set the 'mask type' by choosing a particular ResMed mask from a menu), would you either post here or PM me? I'd be interested on what setting you are using and how the leak situation is working out. Thanks![/b]

I use the hybrid with the S8 Vantage. I use the full face mask setting.
My leak rate has been around 0.3 this week.
What setting do you use and what is your leak rate?

Bookbear--
oops I see that you don't have the hybrid yet.
I guess I need more coffee.
Anyway, I, too would be interested in what other S8 Vantage hybrid users are using for their mask setting and what their leak rates are.

Perhaps it was locked because cpap.com sells them themselves. As the retailer, who sponsers this site, they might prefer that you buy from the.

This Hybrid I have isn't doing me any good. So anyone interested should feel free to message me.

I don't particularly want to expose my email address here for a couple of reasons (I use only my company email account, and don't want it to appear in a forum of this sort for reasons that would be obvious if it did appear .
