I have been dealing with what I thought was related to a sinus infection. I had sinus surgery and two weeks later my

Be causing this?
C-pap and chapped eyes
Re: C-pap and chapped eyes
Since you just had surgery two week ago, I would certainly ask my doctor about this. I never heard anyone say anything about their eyes feeling chapped while on CPAP. Maybe you mean dry eyes but I'm not sure. There are eye drops for dry eyes but I'd speak to my doctor about which one is best for you.

Re: C-pap and chapped eyes
I can think of 2 cpap related reasons for having chapped eyes.
1 The current mask seals poorly and leaks into you eyes. A possible solution may be to try a new cushion or readjust your seal, use a mask liner made from an old thick cotton tee shirt or use swimming goggles or suntan goggles to shield your eyes.
2 Not as likely, leaky nasolacrimal duct. The same one people shoot milk out from. This one is more problematic. The only solution I can think of here is to use swimming goggles to hopefully seal your eyes better so the tubes don't leak or slow down or possibly a total face mask so the pressure on your eyes would be the same as inside your nasal cavity. Some people have this problem when they have Lester Jones Tube installed to replace the nasolacrimal duct.

Re: C-pap and chapped eyes
What mask are you using? When I tried the Amara View I had issues with leaking air blowing in my eyes. I switched to a different mask.

All masks can leak depending on who's wearing them and how badly sized and fitted they are.
