AC power cable replacement?

Post by phantom4 » Sun May 14, 2017 4:31 pm

I have a Philips Respironics REMstar Auto A-Flex. Can I replace the AC power cable (wall -> power brick, it looks like this) with just any IEC C7 cable? Do I need to worry about polarity or wire gauge or anything, or will just about any IEC C7 cable from an electronics store work? I moved to Europe from the USA and was told it was safer to get the correct cable for Europe, than to rely on the travel adapters (for long-term). But I don't want to damage the CPAP or charging brick or create a fire hazard by choosing the wrong cable for long-term use. Thanks!

AC does not have a polarity. Pick up the cable locally.
