Inaccurate Sleep Time Recorded?

Post by Lioness4 » Fri May 05, 2017 8:18 am

Hi all, last night I went to bed at 10:15 pm and slept through to 7:00 am (that's almost 9 hours of sleep and with no wake ups), and when I turned my CPAP machine off it had recorded only 5 hours 11 minutes of sleep Has anyone else ever had this happen and any ideas why?

Is this the first time this has happened? Have you checked the time setting on your machine? If nothing else has changed, you might try re booting your machine by pulling the plug and re plugging.

If the mask comes off at all and is blowing air it won't record any of that time. I think

I had incorrect sleep times when I had auto on/off turned on. Three different times the machine said it was on only one hour and twenty-one minutes when it should have been near 8 hours. After turning the auto start/stop option off never had another problem. I believe that I have read that the P10 pillow has problems with auto start. Since I turned it off I have not missed it at all. What really makes me mad is that this error ruined my 100% compliance for the two years that I have been on APAP.

Thank you everyone for your thoughts. I know this has happened at least a couple other times and the occurrences really space themselves out. I've been on therapy for 11 months. And according to MyAir, I had a gold star for the night in the air leak category, so we can rule that out.

sptrout, oh how aggravating to have an error ruin your compliance grrr. I'm like you in that regard where stuff like that matters to me.

It seems beyond coincidence that one of my cats stepped on the on/off button then stepped on it again to restart it. And each time this has happened my water tank has a low amount of water in it that is usual for the morning, so I know it's been running all night.

I'm going to call my medical supplier next week and ask them about it and I'll post back here to let you know what they say. Stay tuned!
