Tech. help needed for computer/SD card

Post by Cardsfan » Wed May 03, 2017 7:56 am

My computer, MacBook Pro new model, does not have a SD card reader port, or whatever the term is. I believe I can purchase a card reader. But that would mean I have to pull the SD card from my cpap machine, to read it.
Is is possible that a WiFi SD card can be used? That way the info would magically be sent from my Resmed machine to my MacBook. I'm not sure I understand this, but are those my 2 options?

Will any brand and size SD card or card reader be compatible with Resmed cpap and Apple computer?

I use one of these:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0046TJG1U

Not a problem to pull the card from the machine.
Data uploads to Sleepyhead in seconds.
And about 1/10 the cost.

What I have found to be very effective is a Wi-Fi SD card for the CPAP/BiPAP machine and FlashPAP for the computer. So the process is:

1. Run FlashPap to bring the data from the Wi-Fi card in the machine to a folder on the computer.
2. Run SleepyHead and import the data from the computer folder.

It's simple, quick, and you don't have to take the SD card in and out of the machine. When I see my sleep doctor I simply copy all the files in the computer folder to another SD card (or USB flash drive) and take it with me.

There are directions in other posts on how to configure FlashPAP if you have difficulty. Simply search for FlashPAP and you should find them.

Good Luck!

I have flash air cards in both, my and my wife's machine. Our doctor likes us to bring the whole machine in when we go in, so we do. Their tech pops the card out, reads it, and returns it to the machine.
