Hi.
I haven't been here for quite a while because everything has rolled on OK.
Now I checked the latest version for ResScan and noticed it's now v5.7.
I have 4.3.
I have installed the v5.7 and it seems to be a lot faster than 4.7 and that's good.
But I have a problem and it has nothing to do which version it is.
I have now data from 2009.
I want to delete data of whole years and only have data from 2015 left.
It seems that I can't delete a whole year at the same time.
I can delete session by session but that will take a lots of time. Day by day by day........
Is there really not any way to delete a whole year at the time?
ResScan question. How to delete data?

It looks like you can use your file manager (File Explorer in Windows) to open up C:\Users\Public\Documents\ResMed\ResScan3\Patients\(Patient Name) and easily delete away.Kris Persson wrote:any way to delete a whole year at the time?
That's the default directory. If you put the data somewhere else when you first set up ResScan, you will have to search for it.
Let us know if that works for you.

I found all the .rlk files that seems to correspond to each session in the folder you gave the search path to.
I deleted all to 2015 but still data for the years 2009-2014 shows up in ResScan. I have rebooted the PC just in case.
I have a note that states that in older versions of ResScan patient data files are stored in C:\Program Files (x86)\ResMed\ResScan3\Patients but there was none.
Any more ideas how I get rid of data files 2009-2014? Maybe you must edit some other .db file?

That's puzzling. Maybe migrate to Sleepyhead for future analysis? Almost everyone here seems to like it better. I haven't used ResScan in more than a year.Kris Persson wrote:I deleted all to 2015 but still data for the years 2009-2014 shows up in ResScan.

Re: ResScan question. How to delete data?
Are the old files still on your SD card and being reloaded when you upload new data to ResScan?
You can create a new profile in ResScan if you want to be rid of all history not on your SD card. Remember, the machine will write 365 days of summary data only to the card by default. To get rid of that data you would have to use the erase data function found within the machine clinician menu, eliminating all machine user data history, which I don't think you want to do.
You don't have to look at the old data. Do you think ResScan will load faster without it, or what? Just curious.

Re: ResScan question. How to delete data?
In the ResScan session navigation browser at the left side of the display, with the shift key depressed, highlight the dates to be deleted by left clicking. As xxyzx says, select multiple dates by holding the shift key depressed, left clicking on the first date and scrolling to left click on the last, highlighting all the dates between. Right click on the highlighted series and select delete.
Re: ResScan question. How to delete data?
Even simpler, just left click and drag down the column of dates in the browser to highlight a series of dates to delete.
Re: ResScan question. How to delete data?
The .rlk files contain the Detailed Data. Deleting them will still leave the Summary Data for the session which are contained in the Summary dat file. Use the Session Browser to delete data.Kris Persson wrote: Hello.
