F&P Flexifit 405 noise

Post by emkay_777 » Tue Mar 07, 2017 8:20 pm

Greetings all,

I have a question about the F&P Flexifit 405 nasal mask. I actually find it fits quite well and am comfortable using it EXCEPT that it sounds like a jet engine when I breathe. I can't believe how loud it is compared to my other masks. This is the one that has the little oval diffuser that is held to the elbow with a cap. The instructions say that it can be used with or without the diffuser, both of which I tried and they sounded the same. I read online that it matters which side of the diffuser (smooth side or 'rough' side) faces up. To me it didn't matter - it still sounded the same. I called F&P and they suggested an alternate elbow (400HC202) that is supposed to have a different hole geometry to quiet things down. Has anyone tried this with good results? I'd like to know it works before I pay a ridiculous amount for a small item. Thanks

F&P should send you one at no charge. Ask them.
