Need a second CPAP, only 3 years in so Insurance will not
Need a second CPAP, only 3 years in so Insurance will not
I travel quite a bit and have a secondary home I go to quite often. I am only 3 years into using my cpap so insurance will not yet pay for a 2nd machine.
I use the Airsense 10 and love it. Where can I get another machine. I would like to stay with this one as I have had no problem getting use to it.
Also, how do I get it set for the 9# of pressure?
Thank you,
DKR

Craigslist. Local Classifieds. Pressing the Home and Select button at the same time for a few seconds will pull up the Clinician Settings menu, giving you Nordic god-like powers.

Thank you so very much, especially on the settings. Not that I want to change my current setting at all it is wonderful.
I feel like I have to have my machine now, would hate to think of NOT HAVING it.
Plus my husband really like me to use my machine!

Here is a link to your Clinical manual that has the setup menu and lots of other information. https://sleep.tnet.com/home/files/resme ... -guide.pdf
A second machine can be obtained several places. If you have your Rx try our Forum sponsors CPAP.com or SecondWindCpap.com. If you don't have your RX you should get a copy along with your Sleep Study.
You can also find machines and masks on Amazon which doesn't require Rx and there are some forum members that sell new and slightly used machines.

Your equipment profile says you have the AirSense 10 Elite CPAP. If that is what you have, I would make sure not to get the AirSense 10 CPAP which is a cheaper version without data capability.DKR wrote:I use the Airsense 10
When you are price searching, also look at prices for the AirSense 10 AutoSet. This machine can be set to perform identically to the Elite machine. If you can find the AutoSet at a similar price to the Elite, I would go for the AutoSet. In fact, if you ever think you want to fine tune your CPAP therapy, as most of the regulars here have done, I would get the AutoSet even at a higher price.
If you find a machine you want to order, please feel free to get additional advice in this thread.

Sometimes as little as 10 pounds of weight gained or lost can change the pressure needed to be therapeutic.
An auto machine can bypass costly sleep studies.
Many of us are more comfortable with a range of pressures than a single pressure.

Or a cold, or allergies, or a late meal, or a meal of certain foods, or alcohol, or sleeping in a cramped position, ...chunkyfrog wrote:Sometimes as little as 10 pounds of weight gained or lost can change the pressure needed to be therapeutic.

I have a brand new Airsense 10 Autoset Cpap available, or I may be able to find you a used Airsense 10 cpap. Message me if you're interested and I can give you the details.DKR wrote:I travel quite a bit and have a secondary home I go to quite often.
