Not just sleep apnea...

Post by skittlesmcgee » Fri Feb 10, 2017 11:36 am

When my whole chronic fatigue issue started back in December I went along with the idea it could simply be sleep apnea. I knew I had it for some time and my kids said I snored...loudly. Well after successful cpap therapy I still feel like crap so it looks like it's my thyroid that is now the cause. I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism years ago but never had symptoms so never took meds. It appears as if now I'm a medical anomaly because I have hyperthyroidism with hypothyroidism symptoms. Ok I'm not really an anomaly because it happens to some but it still baffles doctors. Soooo today I start an antithyroid in hopes this will be the answer I need.

This is not medical advice but meds are not the answer in my opinion. Switching to a healthier diet has shown to improve thyroid function. Examine what you're eating first. Not to mention people tend to sleep much better when they eat better. A vegan lifestyle has many proven benefits, also eliminating wheat from your diet. This is what I've started a week and half ago and I think I'm starting to notice the benefits.

It would seem that you do have Sleep Apnea, no matter what other problem you might have. Therefore, please continue to us CPAP while you pursue your other issues!
