that I won't tear off?
Wearable continuous pulse oximeter %SpO2 monitoring devices?
e.g. similar to https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007S ... UTF8&psc=1
Watches/waistbands would be best.
I want to be able to monitor my %SpO2 at home for a more representative sample of %SpO2 events than what I can in overnight testing (which I can't do very much).
Best way to continuously log %SpO2 as I sleep?

Why do you need to monitor SpO2 at all? Do you have lung dysfunction? Are you still using Provent? Are you using CPAP?Simfish wrote:I want to be able to monitor my %SpO2 at home for a more representative sample of %SpO2 events than what I can in overnight testing (which I can't do very much).

Re: Best way to continuously log %SpO2 as I sleep?
Depending on your machine, the best would be an integrated one that attaches to your CPAP. Both Respironics and ResMed make them. Cost will be an issue, roughly $1,000 or so.
Next best will be one of the CMS50 series units that are like a wrist watch with a finger tip sensor on a short cable.
Both of these may require taping if your movement is likely to dislodge them during the night. Cost will be $100 or so.
Least would be one that clips on the finger like those in the doctor's office. Cost about $50 or so.
If this is a short term need, then solution two would be my recommendation.
Solutions one and two will integrate into SleepyHead. Solution one will directly integrate into the manufacturer's software.
Solution three may not but will produce a separate report that may be useful.

It would be nice if these top machines had a port to plug in a Spo2 sensor but at Roughly $1000 as you stated is totally insane.JDS74 wrote:Depending on your machine, the best would be an integrated one that attaches to your CPAP. Spo2 sensors are really old technology and available today for $50 to $100 for a decent sensor.
I use the inexpensive finger tip CMS50D+ That works with sleepyhead software and cost about $35
https://www.amazon.com/CMS-Finger-Pulse ... B00B8L8ZXE
It runs on Two AAA batteries that last 3-4 days of continue use in my experience.
It clamps on your finger and feels like it might fall off but I have never had it fall off my finger at night.
If your concerned purchase one of the more expensive models that work with sleephead software.
I really love my CMS50D+ and the O2 information it has provided me during my treatment.
