This is a long-shot, I know. I went to get my travel machine out for a trip tomorrow, and noticed the entire cord including power supply is gone. Don't know how it happened or where it could possibly have gone!
The long and the short of it is, I either need to get a replacement S8 power supply and cord, or get a new secondary machine. In the meantime, I'll just have to carry along my primary machine. Does anyone have a cord they are willing to part with? I've looked everywhere online I can think of, and can't find one.
If I have to, I suppose I can retire my S9 (at least 6 years old now) to my travel machine and get the S10, but money is a bit tight just now.
Thanks for any help anyone can offer. I will be traveling the next two days, but will check in by the weekend to see if anyone has any input.
S8 Elite Power Supply and Cord
Re: S8 Elite Power Supply and Cord
Are you talking about the DC power supply and cord or the AC cord?
If AC, here you go -- $4.82 and free shipping on ebay

Life is a dream…if I'm wearing my Resmed AirTouch F20 cushion and my Autosense 10 Autoset isn't being hijacked by some dung-eating state security troll.
Re: S8 Elite Power Supply and Cord
Sounds like you need the AC plug.

Your first link goes to a power brick for a Respironics machine...won't work with the ResMed S8.jtravel wrote:Sounds like you need the power supply brick and AC plug.

I don't believe the S8 used a power brick like the S9 (big main complaint about the S9 when it was released)...and I think that only the power cord your linked to is needed and furthermore I think that any power cord that matches those specs will work.
I borrowed an old laptop power cord to power a S8 machine that was donated without a power cord and it worked just fine.

Re: S8 Elite Power Supply and Cord
I haven't been here long, but I keep seeing this issue crop up with the power brick. When I bought my spare Airsense AUTO 10, I got an extra power brick for $10. Figured that was cheap insurance. Going to use it as part of a 24V DC supply for camp. It will still work on 120AC after modification.

The Power Supply is internal to the Resmed S8 Machine so only the standard AC cord the Fits is required.
I have several of these AC cords laying around my house and it likely the Original Poster may as well.
They are cheap to purchase just about everywhere so it should not be a problem to get a replacement.
