no problem using earplugs. A lot of folks here use them.

Your aunt should not be snoring if she's using CPAP successfully! She needs to be re-titrated (and her machine should be tested too).fordjx4000 wrote:hi everyone i am wondering if earplugs would be OK to use with a bi-pap i sleep with my aunt in a queen size bed and she snores even with the mask on the snoring is disturbing my sleep
Meanwhile, I don't see any harm in using earplugs.

Why are you assuming that her aunt uses CPAP?D.H. wrote:Your aunt should not be snoring if she's using CPAP successfully! Re: snoring bed partner
The snoring is an indication that something is wrong with her CPAP system. It could be the machine settings are not correct, or the mask is leaking or it is not the correct type mask.fordjx4000 wrote:my aunt and i both use resmed s9 vpap auto's
Re: snoring bed partner
Let your Aunt use your machine , set to her settings, and see if she snores. That could give you a clue if her machine is working. If she does not snore using a different machine, same settings, her machine may be faulty.

Re: snoring bed partner
Use Sleepyhead and post a screen shot to see if her settings need tweaking. What is her settings and what is her AHI running?fordjx4000 wrote:i let her use my machine last night and she still snored same settings

Because she "snores even with the mask on." What other kind of mask would she be talking about?LSAT wrote:Why are you assuming that her aunt uses CPAP?D.H. wrote:Your aunt should not be snoring if she's using CPAP successfully! She never said the mask was connected to a CPAP machine.D.H. wrote:Why are you assuming that her aunt uses CPAP?

Re: snoring bed partner
I snore even with my cpap running great, if I get on my back. My snoring is odd, though, as it "puffs" on the exhale, not a problem on inhale. It even wakes me up, though.

Errr, ummm, you know your machine settings can be changed to prevent snoring?herefishy wrote:I snore even with my cpap running great, if I get on my back. My snoring is odd, though, as it "puffs" on the exhale, not a problem on inhale. It even wakes me up, though.
