Post by Starlette » Mon Dec 19, 2016 3:07 am

Hi all,

Suffering from a migraine atm, so I cannot complete post. I'll just start with this:
Has anyone used this? https://www.maxairnosecones.com?
What would be the equivalent in cpap equipment?

Hi Starlette,

I have tried using a similar type product under my elan mask and found it very uncomfortable. But your experience may be different.

Here is a link to similar type products.

What would you do if your nasal passages got congested causing you to wake up with sever migraines? THAT'S the problem I'm having!
Cure for the migraine? 100mg Sumatriptan, and I'm getting sick of this!!! If I have have migraines 2 - 3 times a week, then it means two to three times a week sumatriptan.
I am more inclined to believe that it's more body position than anything else. Think what I'll do is keep a journal for the next couple of days documenting:

sleeping position
humidity and heated hose

Then I'll document my findings.

I was even thinking of purchasing something like this.

You need to see a specialists re allergies and migraines.

I don't see how nose "openers" will help with sinuses. Your sinuses are deep inside your skull - in fact they go right back to the base of your skull. They get congested and press on other areas of your brain, opening your nose won't help, in fact more air with allergens will just make the problem worse.

I used to have similar migraines. One gets a kind of tunnel vision looking for relief. My problems were solved by a complete hysterectomy. Once the estrogen stopped bouncing my body could handle the other allergens. I still get migraines but they are now infrequent and much less "dramatic"

I am no expert and am pretty new to CPAP, but you might find this interesting/helpful. I stumbled onto it this morning while looking for something else.

Thank you Loghouse. Yes, just finished reading it and it makes total sense, especially when it comes to nose stuffiness in the morning. Absolutely makes sense.
Last night for example, I slept with my body pillow (that looks like a chair for a bed), and no migraine this morning. Thank you
