Do you record your sleep ?

Post by papzombie » Tue Nov 29, 2016 5:47 am

Hi all,

To focus on recording the sleep, I create this thread, and want to hear how you guys see in your sleep from the camera:
- How often do you move yourself
- Are the movements related to CPAP events ?

From my side:
It is 3-4 times per hour that I move my body:
- 25% of the time I either scratch my face (ear, cheek, ..) or scratch my nose (where the mask covers)
- 75% of the time I simply change the body position (turn my neck, move my leg position, put my hands under my head, or remove my hands from my head). But I am sure it is not RLS or PLMD: it is not periodic nor a shaking of the legs/arms.

I wonder if my movements are as normal as yours ?

For those who have not done it yet, and want to, this might be a good start https://www.reddit.com/r/software/comme ... _sleeping/

Note that Infrared light is crucial to your lighting.

I am still using an IP Camera, still have to struggle with .h264 videos and ffmpeg to join those video chunks. I will post here some videos when I finish.

I used my IP cam to record my sleep only couple times.
I found myself change body position once an hour.

And do you have a problem with that ? E.g. maintenance insomnia ? Do you wake up not feeling restful ?

I know I have sleep apena, and the IP camera does shows many my sleep apena symptoms like:
Over one hour period my chest moving up and down, first fast then gradually slow to stop,
body position change, finger scraping my cheek, and yawning.

One ENT doctor suggested me to wear soft foam cervical collar to alleviate my sleep apnea,
and it does work most of time when I was young.

Recently my sleep time is getting shorter, and finally this week I spent $$$ getting a cpap
machine to start my CPAP treatment.

I hope you will find the CPAP helpful.

Anyone here record his/her sleep ?

Anyone here also see him/her moving his/her body (neck, arm, upperbody) every 15-20 minutes ?
