Bipap ST I:E

Post by jdsalcedo » Sun Nov 20, 2016 7:55 pm

Could somebody explain I:E to me? I know it stands for inhalation and exhalation but trying to get in to my daughters sleep doctor and noticed in her settings on her machine that hers is 1:2.3. She has started having some symptoms like she did when we were first trying to figure out her settings etc. waking up with a headache... Brain fog... wanting to sleep more. Also, her Ti is shows 1.4s. Is that normal?

you say 'bipap' but the bipap S/T is a respironics machine, and you've got a picture of a resmed vpap in your profile.

there's no I:E setting in a resmed vpap, so it's unclear what setting you're talking about.

there is no I:E setting on the aircurve ST, so again, what parameter are you talking about?

The I:E ratio is not a setting, but the I:E ratio is a value that is accessible in the clinical menu. The value (can) change based on the manipulation of other settings, such as the Ti Min and Ti Max.
