BIPAP S/T HOSE SIZE

Post by jdsalcedo » Thu Nov 10, 2016 7:08 pm

I want to know if changing the tubing size (the diameter) from machine to mask effects therapy. When our supply company gave us the new tube for my daughter's machine, we didn't realize that it is a 15 mm. Her old one is a 19 mm. We tested both hoses (without the mask) and the pressure was significantly different (at least to the pressure on our hand). Any info anyone can give will be greatly appreciated.

how much air blows out of the hose in a mask off situation has absolutely no bearing on delivery of treatment pressure with the mask on.
