Post by deerock » Wed Oct 26, 2016 1:13 pm

i just got this pillow. used it for 3 nights. it seems to make no difference and is a pricey pillow. i knock my mask off when i sleep on my side, this has not seemed to help.

am i missing something? have others tried this pillow and found it not helpful?

You talking about the buckwheat hull cpapfit pillow?
Did you remove some of the hulls?
I have used a buckwheat hull pillow for years...love it.
It's not going to please everyone but more people like it than hate it.
Might help if we knew exactly which pillow you were talking about...there's more than one out there called "cpapfit".

Very popular pillow for members of this board...dozens are using it. Personally I love it...been using it for 3 years.

It took me a couple of weeks to get used to it. At one point I set it aside and went back to my old pillow. Then tried again several days later. Most nights I use it but it takes time to get the right amount of filling. I bought mine from Amazon. There was an option to order extra foam. After I added that it was better.

I removed half the fill a year ago, leaving a slightly larger proportion of foam shreds inside.
The removed fill is stored in the original packaging for use at a later date.
All the fill is simply too much for me.

I have tried many times, but I cannot sleep on my side on buckwheat hulls. They make noise and are too hard. I wake up with pain in my ear and my head. Definitely an acquired taste.

When I received the pillow I followed the instructions and took about 1/2 of the hulls out. Then threw a large handful of the foam back in. I loved this pillow from the first night! Actually, I like it better for a neck issue I have than to hold the mask in place, although of course it does both.

First I adjust the pillow so that it's comfortable for my neck and shoulders. Then I make a small indent for my mask. It may take a few more nights to become comfortable with it, but it's well worth the effort. Good luck.

I could not tolerate previous versions of buckwheat hull pillows; but this one has a quilted cover,
which muffles the crunch enough even for my good ear.
I had tried buckwheat pillows before, but never the foam blend.
Still firm, but the foam helped; and Bret made me an offer I HAD to accept.
Glad I went there, because I had just had my BC surgery, and was not able to move around as much in bed.
