Is there any info on how Autoset 10 data transmission works?

Post by yawnny » Tue Oct 11, 2016 8:14 pm

Just curious. By casual observation, I've noted that apparently it uses a CDMA protocol, which i also used by cell carriers Verizon, and Sprint. Do DME's have an arrangement with an established cell company, or is there some communications company that only provides data service for CPAPs, and perhaps other medical devices?

Got to be some kind of wireless service like you suggest. There might be an Android app that can see what channel or freq it's xmitting on. I've wondered, but not cared enough to check on it. The manual is certainly mum on the topic.

Good question. AirView data is received through our purchased equipment management program/website. We jump on the internet to the equipment management website to access the data. If your data goes to the cloud, to ResMed, to equipment management or cloud then directly to equipment management > I have no clue.

In the service school for the Air10 was only this:
1. Your PAPs "transmits the data remotely to AirView"
2. Authentication: "Secret key & codes are used in both directions (to & from cloud)"
3. Privacy: "Encrypted communications with secure connection, private from end to end, no patient identified data in any messages" Meaning the personal/patient identification data in at the end users. Them there bad people would need to hack the equipment management company, cloud info wouldn't be useful to them $$wise.
4. Data Integrity: " Authentication codes form a checksum on data to protect its integrityDevice stores both compliance and night profile data"

Those cell towers we see everywhere are usually built by one company
and portions of the service are leased to various carriers.
These entities can be any cell company operating in your area or even
lesser known companies, which are not necessarily marketed to the general public.
Think first responders, military, and secured business and medical communication.

Are breathing patterns or 'flow' lines from Sleepyhead completely unique like fingerprints?
(... or maybe just grouped / sorted like horoscopes?)

I've just recently discovered the 'flow' and making it big and looking at the shapes.
(I am embarrassingly late tech ?adaptor? / bloomer)

...but I am lifelong fan of tea leaves and patterns and self obsession so am enjoying 'flow' immensely ...

Can't wait to see how wrong or right I am about conclusions when I get to see other people's flow and learn
current highest and best medical (and 'other) interpretations.

Also, if anyone sees this who has idea ~~~... is getting a pinker / redder face ever associated with cpap?
For good or bad?
I am going to call it a blush of 'health' for the time being.

The data is transferred using the cell phone networks. This service is available from companies like Jasper Technologies: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jasper_Technologies The service is relatively cheap for companies and is used for many Internet of Things devices including lots of medical devices and monitors, like cpaps and pacemakers. http://www.jasper.com/ The amount of data transferred is small and the device only has to connect to the cell network for a couple or few minutes a day.

I have been thinking HARD about your answer for hours and it only JUST NOW
occurred to me that you are a real person and cannot read my mind and know

"THANK YOU"

...without me writing it?

I'm very sorry for my rudeness and I am VERY grateful.

Yes or No answers are crazy hard to find in this binaryneutral? (like genderneutral?) World?

I am not sure if YES and NO are on the ban list in lots of safespace places~~~

uh? you're welcome?

I didn't sense any rudeness. maybe that's part of not being able to read your mind (my crystal ball is still in the shop)

That is tragic, ChunkyFrog.

Did you try and make mosaic from the pieces?
It could have looked wonderful in a tadpole tank!

I have a broken piece of one with my late season tadpoles now.
