I have a lot of foreign travel with my work. I use a bipap. I've noticed there are travel cpaps but no travel bipaps. I'm tired of carrying the heavy thing around. I'm wondering if I can get myself comfortable with a cpap. Anyone else have travel woes?

i travel with my bipap. once you get used to a bipap a cpap just wont due. at least for me it wont and i will not sleep without

Every time I look there is a new CPAP travel machine that is more and more portable, yet I have not identified any similar BIPAP units. Any advice for travel??

It depends on what your pressure is and how much pressure support you use. I use a bipap, but could get by with a cpap since i am currently running 20 cm pressure with 3 cm pressure support. I started off at 20 - 25 with 5 cm pressure support, but that was causing more central apneas than my current setting.

Anyone using a bipap who wants to try a cpap I say try it at home first. I'm willing to bet you won't last 1 hour with it. But give it a go if you want.
Better yet try a friend or try one at the sleep lab or DME to save yourself some money and aggravation.

I don't mind taking my bipap with me anywhere I go - its all in 1 carry-on suitcase with wheels.

What are your machine settings?

What are your requirements for a travel machine? Small size? Traditional humidification? Battery power?

I currently use a Phillips dreamstation with settings 14/8. My first priority would be small size, battery would be nice but not essential. Thanks
