Brutal reminder to fill humidifier tank

Last night I went to bed and forgot to fill the humidifier tank. Within less than an hour my nasal passages felt as though they were being scrubbed with a wire brush - a very cold wire brush at that. Got up and refilled the humidifier and relief came soon. Not again - this morning (or actually this afternoon) when I got up I removed the tank and placed it next to my sink in the bathroom as a reminder. I do not relish the experience again.
