Down three lightbulbs

Post by tetragon » Sun Sep 04, 2016 10:09 pm

A couple months ago, I moved my nightstand so that I could get my bikes in and out of my apartment easier. This meant my CPAP, and it's power bar, was switched over to a different outlet. Soon thereafter, my light (on a third pair of outlets, that survived having the AC on it in previous summers) died three times. That depleted my old supply of CFL bulbs, and the next bulb in line was a dimmable LED.

A few hours ago, my light started flickering. The only change between no flicker and flicker was turning on my CPAP. I start poking and changing tubes, and there is a correlation between the flickering light and the humidifier on my p560 being on. I pull out my old p450, and again, a correlation between flicker and the humidifier. A third machine, the Intellipap I picked up for travelling... No flicker.

Think the Philips side of Philips Respironics would send me some new bulbs?

more likely that you should call your landlord and report a faulty circuit..

CPAP machines don't draw much power compared to a lot of stuff in your house. Flickering lights or circuits are nothing to ignore. There could be a very real fire danger... there's a compromised circuit/connection somewhere along the line to your breaker or fuse panel, maybe within it.

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.
